Someday lucky, someday not. Someday happy, someday not. A serious student try getting good scores in the graduate school and an ideal job in the future. Please give me a hand, New Yorker!Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.comBlogger17125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-15293009443497711982012-02-10T12:34:00.000-05:002012-02-10T12:34:21.462-05:00Medical cost is fair for everyone.I watched the TV program that showed super obese women.
Like, their belly were down to knees and no more human being shapes.
But surprisingly, they insisted that they were beautiful and healthy.
The host of the show, seemed to be a doctor, couldn't keep talking
because they were too confident to realize they were wrong...

Center of their life may be food.
Bacon, Egg, Cheese oily sandwiches are breakfast,
then Chips and Cup cakes before lunch
big Mexican food for lunch
then a slice of Pizza for snack
Hamburger and FF are for dinner
Cakes and Chips before sleeping with Beer...
And of course, Sodas are with all food...

They are extraordinary
but many "still human shape" obese people are the same.
I'm surprised how rich they are.
If they have a time even a little bit
such as short break in the class or waiting for ferry,
they buy snacks and a bottle of soda...it costs like $3?
And when they do that twice in a day it goes to $6.
Plus, 3 times meal. (I'm sure not only 3 times though)
If they drink beer and smoke cigarette,
They can spend $40-$50 in a day only for food and beverages!

$40 x 30days = $1,200/month LOL

And I can imagine that people who live like this claim
that "we cannot buy healthy food, because it is expensive".
Then they go to hospital because of heart attack.
They need to use wheel chairs in stead of walking.

Insurance?
They may not have enough income to buy good coverage.
Who pays for that medical cost?

People, who keep their body healthy,
pay for insurance, gym for exercise, supplements and natural foods.
They tend to work hard, eat suitable amount, and sleep well.
Of course, they do not smoke or drink too much.
I guess $1,200/month is enough for their normal cost of food and some beverages , too.

Is it fair if medical services are almost equal to those different people?

Well...I'm super poor now.
I don't think I spend that much money, $1,200
including my rent...ouch!
Cooking rice and light taste foods are good enough.
$5 Subway Footlong is for two times meal.
$5.50 Chinese lunch combo with wonton soup is for three times meal.
Never drink sodas...thanks to my taste.
And then, finally, I can spend extra money for some martini at the bar!
Cost friendly and health friendly.Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-87091166181161713462012-01-30T11:20:00.001-05:002012-01-30T11:30:30.882-05:00I love here and listen to Martha Wainwright.First, I need to explain that I don't mean I dislike Japan.
I love Japanese sensitivity and beauty. I swear.
But, avoiding being one of the group means death in Japan.
I think many people feel fear to be alone or to do something alone.
Of course it is easy to lean against something big and trust it.
I sometimes feel it is a religion of Japan, too.
Something invisible called "MAJORITY" do brainwash Japanese, like
"You gotta love it, because it saves you without doubt".
And it harms your nature and personality, who you are and what you really want.
Becoming robots is the way to live there.

I really feel I'm alive and a part of the world when I'm in NY.
It means I have to think everything carefully and do by myself with my own decision.
Losing identity means death in NY. Everyone is struggling to live.
That is why I have visited here almost every year since 23,
and it must be my birthday time.
To re-realize I'm nothing in the world, but I exist.
Everyone has uniqueness and is proud of it.

There are some people who don't know moral and ethics.
They don't care what the others feel about it.
Throwing garbage and spitting everywhere.
Openly blaming and attacking someone.
Unfortunately they do.

On the hand, there are some others who sincerely help people.
Talking to strangers to make them happy with giving a nice smile.
Hugging warmly, telling useful information in need.
Saying NO to wrong ideas, covering the weak up.

Yes, they are simple. They don't make things complicated.
Showing "This is what I want, that is why I do it".
I know, it must be harder than General course...no choice but to make me motivated.
No idea, why I'm excited to study Finance.
I'm not good at numbers at all.
Numbers also don't like me.
But now, it's the time to shake hands.

It was heavy snowing in this morning but there were classes.
From 8:30 am. Took 7:00am boat. How nasty it was.
But I didn't care, because I like those classes,
Finance and Statistics. I had missed them.

Oh no I said too much -M.S-

When I took a basic accounting course,
the professor was so bad to handle with students,
yes, because they were like kids... didn't buy the text book,
always let the professor make copy after the class
only for the pages to know the homework... and complained like " I don't understand,"
...well, to understand the class, first, buy the textbook and read it...
The professor didn't tell like that, either... some classmates and I couldn't believe the situation.
That's why, the professor used only 3 chapters from the text book that had 1,200 pages...
could not finish what she had to teach us at all....

And the professor, who became a china attacker last time, said
"It's very basic issue and too easy for masters, so skip those sections..." in today's class.

Professor.

: ) Proooooof I'm here

You are the same parson, I know.

You did not teach me those.

The other classmates seem to have taken those classes when they were undergrad students,
but for me, your basic course was everything.

How can I know that?

Ok, I will start from the accounting again...
need to pull out the text book from somewhere in my room.

See? Finance is exciting!Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-82472183079814547102012-01-16T09:24:00.000-05:002012-01-16T09:24:46.908-05:00Runaway ProfessorMy finance class starts from 8:30am on Saturday.
Even though I have to take 6:30am boat, I have no complain,
because I like the atmosphere of Bronx classes.
Most of the students are US citizens and full time workers in week days.
That is why they have some knowledge about working environment and give it in the class.
As for money, US people know how their money to relate their life cycle.
They use cards, both debit and credit, and check than cash.
Moreover, they need to do insurance and tax processes by themselves.
Plus, many of them buy stocks for investing.
Japanese usually don't have those knowledge that much.
We don't have to worry about it because cash and saving culture make us safer
and companies solve those troublesome automatically without cheating.
So, the class skips some obvious topics, such as explanation of basic words.
Me? I need to learn EVERYTHING from scratch...It's tough but also exciting :)

And professor is a key, too. I took her class before and liked it.
She is from Hong Kong, and has a unique accent in her English...and she knows it.
(Please do not mention about my English now...)
But we are not able to say her English has Chinese accent.
In last class, she started talking about bonds, and gave us example of China.
And then, talked about China so much...

It began from their disbelief points of bonds, and then went to somewhere else.

"China doesn't have human right, they just keep a baby boy in the family
and send baby girls to somewhere without registration in the country."

(Yeah, I know... oh, some students seem not to know it...)

"If you pursue freedom, you can be killed easily!! "

(Right, and you can ask for someone to kill someone, cost only $300...)

"When someone say if I am from China, I say NO! I'm from Hong Kong!
I don't want to be mixed up with such a low level people!!"

...Professor?

"You know what? Chinese send young women to US and let them get married
with old US guys to get citizenship, and then back to China. Shameless!"

...Professor? What's wrong with you?

"There is the fake marriage business here!
Don't talk to an old man and a young Asian girl when they are together,
he isn't her grandfather, that is a fake marriage couple through agency!!!

Professor LOL Where is the FINANCE class???

Anyway, I enjoyed it.Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-46511426022906651762012-01-13T01:19:00.003-05:002012-01-13T01:31:13.243-05:00Where is your answer going?I'm not a good speaker as I mentioned before.

Plus, my English level is not good enough to take graduate course, honestly.

That is why I need to take time to study and practice more than the other students...

But, I can answer the question to assignments somehow.

Moreover, I learned how to write a paper in academic way during the last semester well.

It is completely different from the solution in business way.

When you work, you need to output the idea by using theory, experience, data, etc...

and summarizing in it your mind first.

The output must be simplified to be explained and implemented with getting the point.

But in academic way, you have to explain

what you learned from text books and lectures one by one for papers.

Giving the definition of the words that you use in the paper,

building the discussion and then applying the case or questions are required.

...Yes, the paper let you feel to waste the time to explain a lot.

Because if you did it in the working situation, you must be said

"COME RIGHT TO THE POINT, PLEASE."

Wait, I remember that this thing happens sometimes in the office, too.

Especially when you talk with engineer or geek type of people, you need to be lenient.

They tend to start talking from 0, and you find it is too much explanation to listen to,

because most of their talking is another story with pointless.

Just keep talking to you what they have as knowledge.

... and their topic is going to be far away from the answer to the question at the end.

orz..... amen.

Here's the thing.

I already faced the facts a lot in the school, too.

The problem is not writing way or something.

I'm so surprised that

some people do not answer the question LOL

For example, when the question is

"What are the different ways of leadership styles? "

of course, you can find several types of leadership ways in the text book,

and write to explain what those are and give the point what is the difference among them.

Easy. And then, if you want to add some information on it as your opinion, go ahead.

Their ways are just "I think my boss was..." or " Leadership should be..."

Of course, after you read the answer, you have to recheck the question.
Wait a minutes...What is the question? No! You don't need to give us your idea about what is the good leader or something.
That is not the question, question is "DIFFERENCES" of each type.
From that, I can guess those people cannot have conversation well for complicated topics.
Once they start speaking, they forget what they need to answer and just keep talking.
I'm kind a jealous because I cannot keep talking... just freeze not to be out of the point....

Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-77334497895231810972012-01-09T14:48:00.000-05:002012-01-09T14:48:16.254-05:00Your turn must be created by you.As a Japanese, I strongly insist that your turn wouldn't come.
We have learned how to make a harmony with people during the conversation.
Before we start talking, we think those in a second:

Does my talking have an appropriate topic and words in this situation and atmosphere?
How long and how deep can I keep talking not the others get bored and feel bad?
Can I show my emotion and passion here? Isn't is too much for the others?

Then, we decide

OK, AFTER he finish his talking, I will start my talking.

Yes, you are correct. Listen to the others first is common sense.
But, listen, your way may not always work in the world.
Because a lot of people, you cannot imagine how many,
don't care anything you concern as above.
They don't think it is rude that they don't listen to the others
and just talk as much as they want in THEIR OWN TIMING!!!
Plus, they apparently show their attitude, like
"I am not interested in your talking, and do not need to listen to you, I wanna talk" .

I know, you cannot believe my saying. Rude, yes especially in "Japanese Culture".
You must get hurt when you face this fact, but it happens a lot.
For example, if you are in the classroom, you can see the scene frequently.

Professor ".....and ......., so......"
Student A "But in my experience...(5min talking)...and..."
Professor "Ok, thank you for your comment. Let's go to nex..."
Student A "And then professor, .....(2min talking)"

Other students are bored.
We want lectures, not your personal comments.

Another case is like this.

(You want to listen to A's idea)
Student A ".....and .....that's wh.."
(You tried to give comment AFTER his talking)
Student B "Yeah, I also did it and....."
(B started talking before A finish it)
Student C "Right, I can...."
(C joined B's talking)
Student A "Hmm, anyway, I wanted to sa.."
(You started expecting to listen to A again)
Student B "Oh, do you know this? This is a..."
(B cut it again with another topic)
Student C "I know! Is it a...."
(C move it further)

You never have chance to get A's whole idea
nor your turn to talk!!!!

It happens not only in class but also in daily conversation.
Don't wait your turn, it never come among those people.
You should show your attitude to them clearly,
cut their conversation if you need, and start talking what you want.
Yes, it is rude, but it is necessary for you to show your existence.
Otherwise, the topic goes to another.

If you didn't do that, they would think you are dull
and not interested in participation of the conversation.

I realize Japanese who live here for a long time seem to know it
and have changed their way on purpose to adapt to those situation.
Means, they sometimes don't read the atmosphere as well as normal Japanese do.
I'm still on the way to have the skill. So hard to ignore our cultural beauty.Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-89631194494384092822012-01-06T20:29:00.000-05:002012-01-06T20:29:05.412-05:00School again. Finally. My holiday is over.
I'm taking those three courses in this semester:

1. Research and statistics for managerial decision making
2. Managing information technology across the enterprise
3. Managerial finance

I'm not good at math or number things, pretty sure.
But sounds good for me to take those courses. That's odd.
Maybe because of my nature. I tend to like make things clear in black and white way.
Number does not tell a lie...

Motivation Level ■■■■■■■■□□ (as of 19:22 EST)

Then I found a very sad fact in my curriculum of MBA course.
They Only Have One Core Course and One Elective Course for Marketing.
And Elective Course is Only Online by The Professor Cannot Teach Well.

Motivation Level ■■□□□□□□□□ (as of 20:07 EST)

I hope they will hire another better professor,
as least the person who can speak naturally, not has terrible stuttering,
and do not make book smart business person.

IT class (2.) already gave us assignments, and that was not lecture or something.
That was really hard for me to answer because I still cannot find what my ideal job is.
I don't find any passion right now honestly..I'm still struggling.
The question was like this:

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

If you were given $3M dollars under the following requirements:

a. $3M dollars must be deposited in a bank with 5% annual interest rate.
Please note that you can’t use the $3M dollars.
b. As such, you will getting $150,000 from the bank for your living expenses.
c. You must work,

then, what kind of work will you do?
This question is not about how you invest the money you may have (you can not use $3M that has to be in the bank and genearate your living expenses $150K). Please don't make the investment of either $3M or $150K.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I asked my big brother and he answered "how about a prostitute or a fortune teller for you?"
Thank you. I used the later one.
Just remembered the song "The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song"/ The Flaming Lips.Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-39670463764188008082012-01-04T23:13:00.000-05:002012-01-04T23:13:37.291-05:00Profit in PeaceHey, we don't wanna fight no more,
hey hey hey, we don't wanna fight no more...
but there's no profit in peace, boy, we gotta fight some more.
-Ocean Colour Scene-

Japan seems to loosen the weapon export ban.
As I had worked for the company related to precision measure equipment,
I think I know how strict gov controls are for the exporting those to other countries,
and some manufactures in Japan have amazing tech and quality to make arms.
(I'm a super Jap tech believer. Something wrong?)
Plus, high-end consumer products are already great enough to be parts of weapons.
Ironically, yes. Such as Chad Toyota war case.
Of course, they will limit the process of loosen the law,
the arms, however, must go to inappropriate countries somehow.
And if it would be unlucky, the countries have arms made in Japan might attack Japan.
...well sounds familiar for new yorker.

(Then we could re-realize that Jap tech is awesome LOL)

We must buy expensive weapons from US in current situation.
US has been protecting Japan, too.
Debt, debt and dept to defense our country.
On the other hand, if Japan start selling Japan brand arms,
many countries must be interested in purchasing or co-working with them.

GOOD FOR ECONOMY!
<strike>(not big deal for US... happens all the time...)</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
But, from crazy peace-addicted Jap point of view,
most of Japanese would hate to see the facts, like
"The arms are made in Japan".
Feel to be a part of war. Isn't it sad and embarrassed?
OK, if Japan has to cooperate to the war world
how about... how about.... well...
Mr.Wiki-smart-pedia says

58 (29%) maintain the death penalty in both law and practice.
96 (49%) have abolished it.
9 (5%) retain it for crimes committed in exceptional circumstances (such as in time of war).
34 (17%) permit its use for ordinary crimes, but have not used it for at least 10 years
and are believed to have a policy or established practice of not carrying out executions,
or it is under a moratorium.
(as of Feb, 2011)

and then, people were killed by people along the law in 2010.

Bahrain (1), Bangladesh (9+), Belarus (2), Botswana (1), China (2000+) <- LOL, Egypt (4),
Equatorial Guinea (4), Iran (252+), Iraq (1+), Japan (2), Libya (18+), Malaysia (1+),
North Korea (60+), Palestinian Authority (5), Saudi Arabia (27+),
Singapore (0+), Somalia (8+), Sudan (6+), Syria (17+), Taiwan (4),
USA (46), Vietnam (0+), Yemen (53+).

Congratulations.
USA is a member of death penalty worship as well as some Asian countries
whose culture is something "overkill" compare to the other countries.
Well, the way of USA is definitely different from Saudi Arabia's, they are so scary,
USA, however, did same thing that people decided to kill somebody anyway.
(Over 2000 means they don't care the number anymore, just what everyone would expect.)

In Japan, it still exists, too.
It seems to be decided by the depth of sympathy for the family of victim,
and level of the heinous nature about murderer.

I agree on abolishing the executions, if you asked me.
It, of course, is to avoid false charges.

Only for that?

No. I think that death is meaningless and just let them free from agony.

If it is obvious to find the people committed the atrocious crime,
they should be trained to be engineers for land-mines removal in Cambodia forever.
Every single day, they are helping Cambodian people by facing being dead or quadruple amputees.
You may work wrong and die, or some others would do wrong and you would suffer terrible injures.
No one can expect anything.

This is the idea that I have had for a long time. Is it strange?? Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-16858037221188890002011-12-27T13:16:00.000-05:002011-12-27T13:16:30.760-05:00Becoming to one world...I'm not talking about peace or something.
Well, I'm supposed to but unfortunately it is not well prepared for most of the countries.

This is about China.
They have a lot of people, money and aggressiveness.

NYC is not exception.
I almost cried while I was walking down Lower East yesterday.
Where has Little Italy gone in Manhattan?
Why dose Bowery have 20 of same type Chinese lighting shops?
Why does the city ignore their too much expansion for ruining the scenery?
And of course, as many people cannot speak English,
just talked to me in Chinese, I know I look like Chinese,
but then I started speaking English, their face turned to say "troublesome".

What is that? Excuse me? I think I'm in NYC, not in China though?

My lovely sis, squirrel told me that they would tend to make the level lower
to insist that they should be the rule instead of catching up other levels.
I agree.
Sadly, many brand shops from casual to formal are filled with them.
When I saw a beautiful white woman, who seemed a model, came out from the black Porsche,
and went into Dior, THAT had to be the picture in the a high-end boutique.
Then, glanced at inside of miumiu and Channel, oh...my...

Recently, Chinese buy "real" brand bags or clothes...not only "fake" products.
Ok, they can buy anything, because of MONEY. I know that.
It, however, is not beautiful for the stores to have a bunch of Asian,
like families or friends stick together and block the aisles.
<strike>(Could you please wear the appropriate shoes at least NOT old New Balance sneakers?)</strike>
<strike>(Could you please stop putting anime character key holders on the expensive bags?) </strike>
Yes, I'm an Asian, and pretty sure Japanese had done it the same several years ago.
They were really hated in Italy when PRADA was the big deal in Japan.
Shame on ourselves.
I have never done in, but would like to apologize to have broken their elegance.
And I wish I did not have Asian look...honestly.

From economic aspects, no one can say China is nothing.
But other point of views, they need to come up to world level first.
Their behavior and moral should be better to get along with the rest of the world.
Do not think your level is the center of the world, please.
If they completed entire of the world right now, some sense of beauty would disappear.

Who can stop their unusual expansion? India? No, they are willing to work under Chinese.
EU has almost gave up being friendly to them because of human right aspects.
Unfortunately, Japan has no power at all. They are peace-addicted.
(But after I watched a TV showing a wealthy Chinese girl
who was in the night club in Shanghai said
"China already knocked out Japan, Japan is nothing for us to learn anything from" ,
my emotion turned to mood against them. Never forget the moment.)

That is why USA exists on the earth!!!!!
I know many countries hate US too, but please imagine the situation
that all counties are occupied by Chinese and work under them... you like it??
They can, if they want. So scary.Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-54002416054374301682011-12-26T00:12:00.005-05:002011-12-26T00:34:50.447-05:00The Thrills / So Much For The CityChristmas season has gone.
So it's the time to stop listening to this album for a while.
Heavy rotation these days... what nice music they are.
A great album in my collection.

So Much for the City

My favorite song is "Don't Steal Our Sun"...
but PV is so corny... that's sad.

and just finished Christmas and for next year...

Santa Cruz ... also this PV is a trash... spoil the song.
You are delicious enough. My friend got pregnant and then got married.
34 years-old woman success to catch 27? years-old boy. Haha.
They are mature enough to have a baby and I hope the guy is not a greedy...
just can obey a monotone life as a typical Japanese dad has.

(Well, that's kind of a reason that Japanese guys spend
a lot of money for piano bars and sex trading shops
or touch high school gals body on the packed train...
those are terrible culture in Japan... unfortunately...
They excuse that they need to have "small" amusements in monotone life.)

How about marriage of under 25 years-old-couple because of pregnancy?

It must depend on the personalities and circumstances of them.
If they are living in a country side and have nothing to do but having family,
a man wants to get married to a woman to have a stable life without playing around
because it's good to concentrate on his professional work, such as athletes,
or don't need any other women anymore, I guess it would be great and work for them.

Besides those... I need to say sorry.

If I were a young man, I would like to invest all of my money for my potential.
(...I'm doing it even though I'm an old woman... oops)
Especially in New York, there are a lot of opportunities for young bachelors
to get and spend money as much as they can, attract women as much as they want,
and obtain chances to see important people for their life and work, more and more.
I think that would be men's need at an early age.
Having experiences both good ways and bad ways to learn.
And what if you are a good looking guy and was supposed to have enough money to go out?
While the people around you are in the hip night club with wearing D&G and Armani,
you get text "Remember diapers! CVS is closing! Where are you?" from your wife.

THE END

Boys, if you are still interested in playing with sexy gals, use condoms.
Don't waste your precious youth, energy and money for near future divorce.
To avoid the misery, stop using internet matching and putting your stupid fake profile.
Even though you are playing with them, you have a chance to be trapped by women, too. LOL

Oh, if you are not young and eager to have someone, of course no prob. Go ahead. (kidding)Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-73646477721378457512011-12-21T11:28:00.000-05:002011-12-21T11:28:25.111-05:00Height and WeightI'm a short person. 5.01feet. But I guess, I'm a big eater for my size.
To be honest, I gained weight 4kg (around 10lb) compare to August.
I know the reason very well. Food. So it's the time to handle it.
Just go back to my normal life style.
Eat only at decided time, avoid snacks and sweets, cook Japanese food,
sleep early time, and do working out. That's it.
I really hate to have extra meat on my body, especially belly and back,
because at that time, legs and butt have already had some fat before other parts had.
Oh yeah, that was my fault... kick out disgusting stuff during winter time to make it by spring.

Here's my excuses.
Be careful to face the fact.

Yes, easy to see. Where is USA and where is Japan?
I can see more number of big people here. And that "big" means "super" sometimes.
Automatically, my brain allows, "Hey, don't worry, you can eat more" to my mouth.
They say that it's tough even for scientists to divide soft drugs and hard drugs,
and Alcohol and Cannabis are also unhealthy but legalized.

Yes, I understand, that's why I don't do anything including cigarette.
Everything is in the same category for me... not healthy.
My all family members but me had been smoking cigarette until my mom got cancer,
but I'm not sure about my brother really quit it, actually.
(My drugs are music and arts..., they make me high enough...)
Well, I take an alcohol, a little bit, not too much for drunk.
Just taking appropriated amount to have good blood circulation.
...Sounds healthy, right?

I know some American insist the same for legalization.
But one of them I know has never done any drugs, even weed,
and say the good reason to legalize it is only for revenue to government by taxation system.
Ah, I see. The economists must consider how government makes money.

...I do not have knowledge to talk about deep side of economy or crime incident.
But I cannot say yes for those legalization.
Simply, it's too risky to implement it.
People who had been interested in drugs but never used it
would try casually when they had chances because of no regulation anymore.
And decades later, it would not be considered dangerous things.
In Germany, they know what strict rules they need to handle drugs after legalizing.
But if the pharmacies could sell it only when the patient have prescription in US,
another business would emerge soon, like "Prescription.com".
(They may give you Free Trial up to 3 times, join now!)

And the person whom I mentioned say
that even though it is legalized, only people who want to ruin their life use it,
and normal people would not enjoy it to keep current life style anyway.

Wait.
Wait.

OK, of course they would spoil their life. It's obvious.
Yeah, then many prisoners for using drugs would be released at that point.
But why they are illegal right now? Why do many countries have same policies against drugs?
Why even medical marijuana is a topic to battle whether to be legalized or not?
Because drug users have potential to be violent with craziness to others, is it correct?
So, if drug users increase, crime rate and the number of the unemployed also increase.
Then you need to build twice more jails and prisons for that.
Is it good for economy? And tax will be used for feeding and maintaining them.
Even if it would be good for economical aspects, not for ethical aspects.

Well, anyway, my point is just one thing.

I don't want to lose my dear people around me because of that stupid reason.Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-37060094711614956902011-12-17T17:40:00.000-05:002011-12-17T17:40:41.260-05:00Talkative nature is woman's weaponI think Japanese tend to be quiet.
"Iwanu-ga Hana" is Japanese proverb, means
that it's wise to be a person of a few words.
Especially, it is usual for me to talk to nobody a couple of days.

*You are not allowed to say that's why my English is bad yet...

It may not apply to many countries.
For example, my next room, Sri Lankan, expresses her emotion too much with her BF.
Laughs loudly then bursts into tears with screaming...oh boy. It happens all the time.
<strike>(She has a cute face, but her gross gob sound is awful from bathroom.)</strike>
Well, it must be a normal thing for Sri Lankan, because their talking way is dramatic.
I guess it is alike to Arab people or South Americans, might be. Emotion is important for them.

For us, it must be evaluated like

(childish)

But for them, we Japanese must be cold, unsure and boring.

As for women, talkative nature maybe some attractive element to men.
Usually, up beat cheerful talkative girls are dragging their cute quiet boy, yes.
Going back to the next room's story,
she talks on the phone, brings and keeps talking with her BF,
then after he leaves, starts using Skype...
(I don't want to hear but everything is too loud to mute for my ears)

I always wonder these three things...

1) Isn't she tired to move mouth such a long time?
2) How many topics does she have to talk?
3) Isn't she afraid of having throat polyps? <- kidding

To be honest, I'm kinda jealous.
I think I'm too quiet... can't talk more than need.
Sometimes, I hear that men hate to listen to their wife's meaning less talking
when they come home with tiredness after work.
Act bored, wife says "are you listening to me?" without feeling sorry to talk too much.

I cannot.
No.
100% ultra No.

I tend to be on men side. Speaking about regular topics or gossips is troublesome.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, it makes my impression "boring". I know.
Ok, I can listen to you. but please do not force me to talk. I cannot.Mangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-56887536745069578102011-12-16T09:06:00.002-05:002011-12-16T09:15:11.531-05:00Customer ServiceFrom Japanese point of view,
shop staffs sometimes give us unbelievably terrible services or behaviors.
If they were working in Japan, they would be fired immediately.
On the other hand, the rest of those have great skills to welcome and help customers.
Two extremes. Part time or internship... I don't know but kids are also have this tendency.

Is it nature?

I don't think so.

They had not practiced to handle their emotion (feeling) not go to mood (behavior).
The cycle of emotion and mood is built by environment while they had grown up.
In family, schools or neighbors... adults let them know that by oral and action.
Like, "No need to hide your emotion to get something. Everyone is selfish, do it."
But some who had been raised in moral can learn
that your mood make the other's mood, too.
Or, they realize their mood is wrong at that point they start working and see seniors.

When you are depressed or angry, it must be tough to make smile on your face.
When you are tired, it must be difficult to move fast and talk with customers.

Sorry, but it is your job that you selected to do.
You are a part of the window and mirror of the shop and company.

Recently, many companies use outsourcing for CS,
such as Indian firms of telecommunication.
24 hours call service... sounds good.
It, however, connect to Indian company... does it really help you?
Many people don't understand their speaking,
and some staffs cannot understand American English, because of their Britain English.
So smart companies already realized that Indian are good for hard working
but not enough for customer satisfaction.
Then, it goes to Philippines whose workers speak American English. Sounds better, right?

How about Japanese CS.
Well, actually, shop staffs or call center workers are robots, not human.
As you already found, their "apologize" is not from bottom of their hearts.
Their too much "thank you very much" is reading the lines.
Therefore, sometime they cannot respond to the irregular questions or requests.
Anyway, their behavior as CS is correct, even though it is fake and surface.

But when I went back to Japan after spending 8 month to live in NY,
I felt their thanks and vows were too much and.... made me tired LOLMangoohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17558420168638409170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779380356138967042.post-30820988597052347592011-12-15T00:17:00.001-05:002011-12-15T00:40:34.599-05:00It's English Blog Time.Well, I have two blog pages already. Both of them are in Japanese.
My friend "Squirrel" in SF started English blog... so do I.
Actually, just finished the fall semester of the graduate school..
I was supposed to go out... but I had needed to be in a bathroom for a long time today...ouch.

What did I eat?
beef noodle, coffee, roasted beef sandwiches, snacks, granola bars, grapefruit juice, chips, snickers... what else?
It might waste your time, but I cannot pay for it.
